what did you think of our idea for a blog?
|
I thought it was pretty cool. To make it even better you guys should keep posting on it even after the project.
|
I liked your guys’ blog. because it had good pics and videos
|
Your blog was a good idea because everyone else was using power point.
|
Will this help motivate you?
|
I feel like going home and doing 100 push-ups
|
Yes, it will help to get through the days one by one
|
I feel like actually applying myself now in school
|
what do you think of the video that we posted?
|
I thought it was a well timed video
|
It was cool seeing the full version shrink down
|
The guy in the background helped for motivation a lot
|
Are we missing anything
|
You might want to add a background
|
Something to grab the attention of people
|
Maybe some more other videos that you don’t have to present
|
learning log
Day 1
We are deciding what program to use due to using power point several times and would like to go outside of the comfort zone. We are also deciding on our topic and decide to use motivation.
Day 2
We decided to do a blog because it will be useful in the future and none of us have been authors for a blog before. This is also a new thing to both of us and we can keep it going even after our project.
Day 3
We started our proposal and almost completed it.
Day 4
We finished our proposal and shared it with Ms. Lees. We also started to do some research on motivation. We were having a little bit of trouble with having time at home where we could both work on the project so we decided that later at night is best, when we could share our document and work on it together.
Day 5
We were progressing well working together on our document since we didn’t have much class time to work on the project due to busy schedules, but we were getting work done and we were coming up with some actual good ideas. We had worked late and were around a quarter way done adding new stuff to the blog.
Day 6
We continued to work on our project and with another late night were about three quarters of the way done, and the project was looking good. We were working well and actually getting lots of work done on all the nights that we worked and we were progressing quickly.
Day 7
The great day that we completed our project! We completed the project and it looked pretty good. We then posted everything on our blog and made it easy to present.
Day 8
Put on some finishing touches and the next day we presented!
desire
Motivation in a word, desire. when you wake up in the morning you have a decision to make. You are either going to be a bump on a log and sit around at home all day OR you can get up and do something with your life. Think about this for a second: how many hours do you spend on your cellphone alone? Most people will spend 2 or more hours on their cell phone. For some of you if you get rid of your cellphone you will reach your goal much faster. Research has shown that you can motivate your self control and influence your own levels of motivation.
Intro
Have you ever felt like wanting to achieve something really bad, but not wanting to work for it? Well we have the answer to help you through this “lazy” phase. For example lets say you wanted to get into shape for the summer to look good for them ladies or them guys. Your first step to this would probably be to get off the couch and put the chips away because you won’t need them anymore. If you are going to stick to your plan you WILL need motivation because without it I don’t think many people would be able to achieve any of their goals. So in our project we are going to try to help motivate you guys and explain a little bit about motivation. And our goal is to help you guys reach your goal.
what is motivation
What is motivation? Motivation is what drives you towards a goal when the going gets tough. It’s what keeps you up late to finish a project or it helps you through the final period or quarter or inning or whatever! There can be two types of motivation positive and negative motivation Negative motivation is when, lets say: you are threatened by your teacher that she will fail you, this will motivate you to work harder to pass.
impossible?
Impossible? That is not in our vocabulary. Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t do this or you can’t do that. Not even your mom. You have a dream? Go get that dream, don’t expect it to come in time and protect that dream. And if you work hard enough I guarantee that you will get there. Most people when reaching a goal they always look at how much more they have to go to reach their goal and forget about how far they have come so far. Looking at the glass half full not half empty is key. Always stay positive. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!!!
we are all born equal
What are we born as? We are all born as children and there is nothing different about any of us. We are all equal. Somebody is not born with the talent of shooting a basketball. They are good at shooting because they worked for it. That is the difference between you and them, the effort that you put in. Now what makes them good at what they do? They go full throttle and don’t take breaks. They don’t settle for good enough, they don’t care about the people that say it’s impossible because they are going to prove them wrong. They don’t care if they are missing out on fun or parties because they are going to be the ones coming out on top. Now think how big is your appetite for success?
first step
Let me tell you a little secret about life. The formula for success in this world is taking the first step. First of all ask yourself this, 1 month from now, even 2 months from now, what will you wish you had done today. It’s all about taking the first step because objects in motion stay in motion. And if you start to slow down you’re gonna have to slam on that gas pedal and keep going, because sometimes its not about how bad you want it but how hard you’re willing to work for it. You only get out as much as what you put in. What we’re trying to say is if you aren’t willing to put in the work then you won’t see any results, results come with hard work. Also you have to be willing to put in not only hard work but time because you can’t train, practice or workout in 10 minutes it doesn’t work like that, YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE TIME.
don't ever quit!
On the way to success you are gonna want to quit every single day along the journey. In the first few months you might be gung ho about it but I don’t care how strong you are, life will beat you to your knees and let you stay there permanently unless you fight to get up. There isn't a single person alive that along their journey hasn't wanted to quit, everybody at some point is going to want to give up, However the real fight starts when you want to give up. The real workout starts at that exact moment when your bodies screaming at you that you can’t go any further, you have to push your body to the limits! And don’t say you’re going to do it tomorrow or the week after that or the week after that because most of the time later becomes never.
starting to get motivated
Most people especially teenagers don’t want to do anything unless there is a reason for it and that is exactly what a proper motivation can give you if you hear the right words at that exact moment that you need it. Motivation doesn't only apply during sports, but in your daily life on earth and it will keep pushing you until you are drained completely. Also motivation leads to success and the people that will become successful in life are the people that are willing to knock on the doors of exhaustion every day. Now, let me explain what exhaustion is. Exhaustion is that point when it is so darn painful to keep going that you can’t even think straight and the people that will be successful in life are the people to cross that path every single day of their lives. You have to want to be successful so bad that you forget to eat. You have to want to be successful so bad that you forget to sleep. You have to not care about anything other than reaching your goal. You have to forget about parties, basketball games, video games. As Eric Thomas says, “ If you want to be successful as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.
